Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of Scribopal's transcript tools. By using the site, you agree to them.

Using the tools

Use Scribopal for lawful purposes. Only upload recordings you have the right to use, and don't use the tools to harass anyone or to overload the service. We may limit or block use that harms the service or other people, including automated requests.

YouTube, TikTok and Instagram

Scribopal is not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube, Google, TikTok, Instagram or Meta. For YouTube videos we show captions that YouTube already makes public, for personal, study and accessibility use. We don't download, store or share videos or their audio.

Transcripts of other people's videos are still their work. Respect creators' copyright: quote fairly, credit the creator, and get permission before you republish a transcript in full.

Takedown requests

If you own a video and want its captions removed from our cache, email support@scribopal.com with the video link. We remove it within 48 hours.

Accounts

You sign in with Google. You're responsible for what happens in your account. You can delete your account at any time.

Credits and refunds

One credit is one minute of audio transcription. Free minutes are used first each day, then credits. If part of a file fails to transcribe, the minutes for that part are given back automatically. Credit packs never expire. If you haven't used any of the credits from a purchase, you can ask for a full refund within 14 days of that purchase by emailing support@scribopal.com from the address on your account. Used credits aren't refundable, except where the law requires otherwise.

Your transcripts

You own your recordings and the transcripts made from them, as far as the law allows. Transcripts come from automatic captions and AI speech recognition and contain mistakes, so check them before you rely on them.

The service

We provide the tools as they are, and we may change or stop parts of them. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses.
